Poisson d'avril !

April Fool's Day is all about fish in French culture. The classic trick is to stick a paper fish on the back of a friend. Then you get to say: "Poisson d'avril !" (April fool; but April fish literally!). On my morning message, I wrote, "Poisson d'octobre" which means October Fish... The students caught on rather quickly to my trick! I let them all make a paper fish and they spent the day trying to stick them on people's backs... Mr. Church was a very good sport! Thanks Mr. Church!
